Retail Sales Associate (1 part-time & 1 full-time position)
Reports To
Store Manager
The Sales Associate is responsible for providing prompt, courteous and knowledgeable service to meet and exceed our clients and customers expectations. Knowledge of art materials is vital in assisting customers to find necessary materials or alternative products for their creative projects. The Sales Associate will also be responsible for providing fast and efficient service at the cash register. The Sales Associate will be responsible for meeting targeted sales goals, and consistently delivering in accordance with the high standards of the company’s defined goals.

Job Duties
– Assist & greet every customer in shopping experience
– Maintain a high level of customer service
– Participate in merchandising and promotional activities
– Ensure accuracy in all transactions, inventory, and procedures
– Participate in all manner of store maintenance
– Maintain a high level of product and service knowledge
– Work in partnership with Store Managers and other employees to maximize store sales and in-store presence
– Compute and record totals of daily transactions.
– Process merchandise returns and exchanges.
– Handle payment by cash, cheque, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits.
– Resolve customer concerns.
– Stock shelves, and mark inventory and reconcile overstock.
– Provide clerical assistance in the form of typing, filing, etc.
– Perform minor maintenance work and clean-up duties.
– May be entrusted with a key and pass code to open and close shop.
– Perform other duties as required

Marketing & Community Coordinator 

Reports to

The marketing and community coordinator will be responsible for ensuring annual marketing plans are created, implemented and results are monitored and shared with management. The ultimate goal for this position is to increase the number of customers visiting Wallack’s stores and shopping online, to create loyalty and repeat customers and convert them to sales by initiating a number of programs through multiple channels. Requirements & Experience

– Secondary School Diploma required

-Post Secondary School Diploma in Business, Marketing, Public Relations or related field required

-3-5 years’ event coordination or management experience preferred

-3-5 years’ fundraising experience considered an asset

-Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

-Proven ability to manage budgets
